OHSAA Regulations and Guidelines

OHSAA Preseason Meeting Requirement 

All preseason OHSAA meetings will be completed ONLINE this year. You will not be required to attend the meetings as we have done in the past. Instead, you will be able to complete this requirement at your convenience.  

As a reminder, this is an OHSAA requirement that must be completed ONCE PER SCHOOL YEAR if you or your son/daughter are participating in any school-sponsored sport (Volleyball, Cross Country, Golf, Basketball, Cheerleading, Baseball, Softball, or Track & Field). This must be completed prior to the start of your athlete's season.


 To complete the process, all student-athletes and at least one parent/guardian for each student/athlete must complete each of the following items:

Sudden Cardic Arrest - Lindsay's Law

Lindsay’s Law, Ohio Revised Code 3313.5310, 3707.58 and 3707.59 becomes effective on August 1, 2017.  In accordance with this law, the Ohio Department of Health, the Ohio Department of Education, the Ohio High School Athletic Association, the Ohio Chapter of the American College of Cardiology and other stakeholders jointly developed guidelines and other relevant materials to inform and educate students and youth athletes participating in or desiring to participate in an athletic activity, their parents, and their coaches about the nature and warning signs of sudden cardiac arrest.

The Ohio Department of Health has published a Concussion Information Sheet to assist you and your child in recognizing the signs and symptoms of a concussion. The information sheet as well as Acknowledgement Form is linked here.
