Math Counts

Mathcounts is a national mathematics competition for students in grades 6, 7, and 8 throughout the United States. The mission of Mathcounts is to increase enthusiasm for and enhance achievement in middle school mathematics. A school competes by entering a team of four individuals. Students may also participate without being on a school team. Awards are given for both team and individual performances. The competitions consist of sprint, target, team and countdown rounds.
Mrs. Phelan is the math coach for Russia Schools. Please contact her if you have an interest in participating this year in competition. This is also a great opportunity to challenge yourself and your math abilities. We will begin practices in late October or early November.
